When I was a young mother, my landlords threatened to kick me out of my apartment.
My home was the most stable part of my life at that time, and living in an expensive city, my affordable housing options were extremely limited. I was also running my first business, a demanding brick-and-mortar business, which was not yet profitable.
I felt wildly out of control, and I recognized that the real problem was that I didn’t have the financial literacy or guidance to give myself better options.

I am the Founder & CEO of People First Finance. I have 20 years of experience working alongside visionary leaders of successful startups. My background is a unique combination of business operations and finance with scaling companies, including 7 years as co-owner and manager of my own brick-and-mortar retail business. I have been a business and finance consultant for a decade and excel at implementing sustainable solutions that result in profitable businesses. People First Finance is my profitable labor of love.

I am the Agency Manager at People First Finance, where I ensure smooth operations and timely service delivery for our clients. With a background in operations management, I specialize in optimizing workflows, managing client communications, and leading our team to meet deadlines and exceed expectations. I am passionate about creating systems that reduce manual tasks, allowing our clients to focus on their financial goals. Outside of work, I am driven by the desire to help others find balance and success in both their businesses and personal lives.

Bookkeeper
I’m a virtual bookkeeper with over 7 years of experience supporting small business owners with their finances and bookkeeping. I love helping them get organized, clean up the chaos, and feel more confident about money. A lot of people start their business because they’re good at what they do, not because they love spreadsheets or financial reports. My job is to make the accounting side feel simpler, clearer, and less stressful so they can focus on running and growing their business. Whether I’m cleaning up books, untangling messy financials, or helping clients understand what their numbers are telling them, I love making things feel more clear, organized, and manageable.I’m excited to be part of the People First Finance team and work alongside a group of women who genuinely care about supporting business owners and helping them build businesses that feel sustainable and successful.

Tax Accountant
I'm a CPA with around 11 years of experience across tax preparation, review, resolution, and litigation support, and I'm currently studying for my CFP (expected December 2026).
Before joining People First Finance, I built my own boutique tax practice serving solopreneurs and multi-entity owners, with a soft spot for the wellness and cannabis industries.
I'm also a 500-hour registered yoga teacher, and I bring that same sense of calm into how I approach tax work — because your numbers should bring clarity, not stress. Helping business owners understand what their finances are telling them, and make confident decisions from there, is the part of this work I love most.
I'm based on Long Island, NY, where I live with my husband and our two daughters. In the summer you'll likely find me working from the beach, and on weekends we're usually out on a family bike ride.

With over 25 years of hands-on experience in accounting, bookkeeping, financial reporting and business management, I bring a well-rounded and practical approach to every project. I’m known for being proactive, building strong relationships with clients and vendors, and delivering strategic, forward-thinking solutions that drive growth and efficiency.
I’m thrilled to join the People First Finance team and to be part of such an inspiring group of women—each dedicated to helping business owners create thriving businesses and lead lives they truly love.
Based in California, I enjoy spending time outside of work at the beach and cheering on my two sons at their sporting events.

I work on the backend of People First Finance creating the automation and workflows that allow our clients a seamless onboarding process and our team ease in managing multiple projects. I am passionate about helping women build businesses that allow them the time and financial freedom they desire. I have over four years of experience in the online space and have been fortunate to support amazing teams by translating their visions into reality. When I'm not behind the screen I'm walking my pup, kickboxing, planning vacations, and doing my best to survive the Minnesota winters.

To get started, you’ll complete an onboarding form and have the option to book a call with our team so that we have all of the access and information we need to take over your books and tax filings. The onboarding process typically takes up to 2 hours.
You’ll want to review your monthly reports and financial summary, which should take 30 minutes.
Every quarter, you’ll want to review your quarterly estimates and make your estimated tax payments. This can take up to an hour if you have questions about your calculations and/or need support processing your payments.

You can reach any member of our team via one email address whenever you have a question or need support. You will receive a weekly email with any outstanding items or details our team needs.
You will receive a monthly financial summary with guidance and insights about your business performance.
You will receive proactive reminders, updates and information related to tax compliance and strategy throughout the year.

If you are dissatisfied with our services, we will always go above and beyond to make things right. That is our guarantee. If your business needs shift, and our services are no longer the best fit, we require a 30 day written notice.

At this time, we only provide tax services as an add-on to our Better Bookkeeping service for S-Corporation clients. We are no longer accepting stand-alone tax preparation engagements. This allows our team to provide more accurate tax guidance using clean, up-to-date financial data maintained throughout the year.
