People First Foundations
Foundational business systems, handled for you, so your business keeps running even when you’re offline.
Running a solo service business means you don’t get to just be the expert.
You also have to market, handle client inquiries and scheduling, manage your inbox and make sure nothing slips through the cracks.
No matter how good you are at what you do, the business only moves forward when you have the time and energy to tend all of its moving parts.
People First Foundations exists to change that.
This is done-for-you operations support for solo service professionals who want consistency, structure, and stability without managing a team or living inside their inbox.

THIS IS A GOOD FIT IF YOU…
Are excellent at what you do but find consistency harder than delivery
Feel weighed down by inbox management, scheduling, and follow up
Want steady visibility and leads without being online all day
Prefer systems that are implemented for you rather than assistants to manage
Want a business that feels calm, predictable, and sustainable over time
THIS IS NOT A GOOD FIT IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR…
One-off admin tasks or short-term project help
Marketing strategy, coaching, or content creation from scratch
A team to manage customer service or day-to-day requests
The Real Problem Most Solo Founders Face
The issue isn’t effort or motivation - it’s consistency.
Too much of your time (and mental load) is spent keeping the business operational instead of doing the work you enjoy.
Marketing happens in bursts. Follow up slips through the cracks. Your inbox becomes a running to-do list. Your calendar fills itself instead of serving you.
You’ve probably tried:
Just doing everything yourself
Hiring hourly admin help
Outsourcing pieces of the business one at a time
But without a clear foundation, those attempts often create more work, not less.
What People First Foundations Does Differently
People First Foundations isn’t hourly admin work. And it isn’t operations consulting.
It’s done-for-you business system management, designed for the unique needs of solo service professionals.
We install and maintain the core systems every solo service business needs to function consistently, and we run them for you inside clear, repeatable boundaries.
You don’t have to manage us, remember to assign tasks or have a list of to dos ready to hand off.
We learn and manage your foundational systems quietly and consistently so you can focus on your clients, your craft, and your life.
What Becomes Possible
With the right foundations in place, your business no longer depends on your constant attention to stay visible and responsive.
Our clients experience:
1.
A business that
keeps moving even
when they’re offline.
2.
Fewer missed leads
and forgotten
follow ups.
3.
Predictable weeks
instead of constant
catch-up.
4.
A calm and
organized inbox
and calendar.
5.
Confidence that
your business is
handled correctly.
The deeper result is stability, and a business that supports your life instead of competing with it.

Why This Works
-
It often requires constant oversight and delivers fragmented results - and there’s less incentive for efficiency.
-
We install the foundation first and then maintain it.
-
You need the right systems, run consistently by people who understand how small service businesses succeed.
That is exactly what People First Foundations provides.
Ready for a business that runs seamlessly - without the mental load?
If you are ready for fewer dropped balls, calmer weeks, and consistent visibility without managing people or processes, People First Foundations may be the right fit.

Don’t let your business stop running when you do!
-
Yes. As long as you are a solo service professional offering services, People First Foundations can support you.
In fact, starting with the right foundations often prevents the overwhelm, inconsistency, and clean-up work many founders face later. You do not need existing systems, content libraries, or polished processes. We set up the essentials correctly from the beginning and maintain them as your business grows.
-
Virtual assistants typically work hourly, wait for direction, and support individual tasks.
People First Foundations is a done-for-you system. We install and run the core operational foundations of your business, inside clear and repeatable processes. You are not assigning tasks or managing day-to-day work. We operate within defined scope and rhythms so your business stays visible, responsive, and organized without constant oversight.
-
People First Foundations is intentionally scoped to focus on the core systems that keep a solo service business running consistently. That clarity is what allows us to deliver reliable results without requiring you to manage us or worry about scope creep.
If something comes up that falls outside the defined scope, we will always let you know clearly and directly. In some cases, we may be able to recommend tools, templates, or a more appropriate type of support. In other cases, additional services may be offered as optional add-ons in the future.
What we do not do is quietly expand scope or say yes to work that compromises the quality of the service. Clear boundaries protect your business, our systems, and the results this offer is designed to deliver.
If you are ever unsure whether something fits, you can ask. Clarity is always part of the service.
-
No.
People First Foundations is designed so you are not managing another person. Once onboarding is complete and systems are set up, we operate independently within agreed-upon processes and scope.
You are not creating task lists, checking work daily, or explaining the same things repeatedly. Our role is to quietly maintain the foundations so your business runs smoothly without your constant involvement.
-
Most clients experience a significant reduction in time spent on admin, inbox management, and operational decision making. A realistic expectation is cutting that time by at least 50 percent.
You should also expect:
More consistent visibility without constant effort
Faster and more reliable lead follow up
A calmer inbox and structured calendar
Fewer dropped balls and last-minute scrambles.
Our mutual goals are stability and consistency.
-
Your business will be supported directly by People First Foundations’ implementation team, led by experienced small business systems specialists.
We intentionally limit capacity to ensure quality, consistency, and responsiveness. This is not outsourced task work. It is hands-on operational support delivered by people who understand the realities of solo service businesses.

About our Co-Founders

Luisa Alberto is the Founder and CEO of People First Finance, a women-led bookkeeping and tax firm serving service-based business owners who want clarity, compliance, and confidence in their financial decisions. She is also the Co-Founder of People First Foundations, where she brings the same systems-first philosophy to the operational side of small business.
Luisa launched People First Finance in 2021 after more than 15 years operating her own service businesses, including a brick-and-mortar juice shop and a business coaching practice. That experience gave her a firsthand understanding of how quickly the administrative and financial demands of running a business can overwhelm even the most capable experts.
Her work is grounded in a simple belief: small business owners do not need more advice. They need reliable systems, expert implementation, and support that reduces mental load instead of adding to it.
Today, Luisa leads a multidisciplinary team of bookkeeping, accounting, and tax professionals while also overseeing the strategic direction and client experience across both People First Finance and People First Foundations. Her focus is on building businesses that are sustainable, predictable, and supportive of real human lives.
Outside of work, Luisa is deeply committed to mentoring women entrepreneurs, advocating for sustainable growth models, and designing a workweek that intentionally leaves space for rest and life beyond business.

Matthew Resnick is the Co-Founder of People First Foundations and serves as the Implementation Lead, overseeing the day-to-day systems, workflows, and operational delivery for clients. His work focuses on ensuring every foundational system is implemented cleanly, maintained consistently, and operated with minimal friction for the business owner.
Matthew’s background spans two decades of hands-on operational work in high-volume, service-driven environments. He has worked in roles where efficiency, accuracy, and repeatable processes were essential to success, managing complex workflows, expectations, and ongoing task flow in fast-paced settings.
As a solo service business owner himself, Matthew built Jack N Master Handyman Services from the ground up, handling everything required to run a service business day to day, from marketing and scheduling to client communication, billing, and recordkeeping. Through that experience, he learned firsthand that strong operational foundations are not a “nice to have” for solopreneurs. They are what make sustainability possible.
Matthew’s core expertise lies in systems and tools implementation, workflow design, inbox and calendar management, and maintaining repeatable operational processes. He specializes in creating operational muscle memory so businesses can run smoothly without constant attention or decision making.
At People First Foundations, Matthew is responsible for implementation quality, system upkeep, and ongoing delivery. His focus is on providing calm, reliable, behind-the-scenes support that allows clients to stay focused on the work they do best.
For many years, Matthew delayed launching his own business because he knew how difficult it is to build something sustainable without the right foundations and support in place. Today, his work with People First Foundations is driven by a deeply personal motivation: to provide the kind of operational support that makes it possible for others to pursue their work with confidence. He believes there is nothing more meaningful than doing work you love, building your own future, and having the space to enjoy it along the way.
